This course module is designed for Grade 10-11 students in a suburban public high school. Students will build their data analytical, planning and visualization skills during learning, which could prepare them as a good presenter and problem-solver in the future. Also, after learning this module, students can do analytical tasks of different genres and show them in a clear way.
The course is structured using a blended learning model: (1) establish social supportive environment by setting norms and rules ahead; (2) follow learners' developmental stages and cognitive levels; (3) provide ample opportunities for deliberate practice during and after class; (4) combine direct instruction with guided discovery and open exploration; (5) know and activate learner’s prior knowledge; (6) add student-teaching activity.

I built an online module with interactive activities in Open Learning Initiative. We aimed at helping novice programmers understand basic knowledge about test-driven development and how unit testing works when debugging.
After doing testing with 20 novice learners, our results showed that these students on average scored 24% higher after learning our course module.
During this process, I detected learning difficulties in the process of debugging and chose appropriate tools. I applied five E-learning principles into this module including pre-training principle, segmenting principle, modality principle, worked example principle and one innovative principle as interactive feedback.
